Brant Lake Cattle is a family- owned and operated business which established its first Wagyu cross herd in 1993. Full blood Wagyu bulls and genetics were acquired in 1993 and bred to our commercial cow herd of which most are Red or Black Angus. We have since grown our numbers allowing us to share with other consumers this distinctive quality of beef.
We have been committed to refining our Wagyu cross herd to result in a superior tasting, consistent and healthy product.
Brant Lake Cattle Company understands the importance of proper animal care and nutrition. As cattle producers, animal care, nutrition and humane handling simply make sense because healthy animals that are properly cared for result in a premium product of beef. They also recognize that animal care, food safety and environmental issues are important to consumers and to society in general.
That’s why they are partners in the Verified Beef Production program that established and endorses production standards in these important areas.

PINE HAVEN FARMS
Our Angus beef is grown locally and naturally without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones by ranchers that are committed to being good stewards of the land. The Hutterite culture has always been to care for the land, its animals and its people. Maintaining these practices, we have chosen to produce Heritage Angus Beef and Pine Haven Grass-Fed Beef.
Quality is managed and monitored each step of the way which makes them the only beef supplier in Canada that is audited and certified by both Prairie Wise and the Verified Beef Production program, two nationally recognized third-party systems for beef.
All of their cattle are processed under the scrutiny of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) which monitors production, protocol and procedure. This guarantees we receive the world's highest quality Angus beef with greater tenderness, delicious flavour and improved texture.
Verified Beef Production (VBP) is Canada's nationally recognized HACCP-based, audited on-farm food safety program for beef. Officially recognized by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the VBP program is a producer-led program designed to help implement and verify the good on-farm production practices that minimize food safety risks.
The program includes formalized standard operating procedures for:
